Adoptapark Scheme & Course Designs

STAG members will monitor the condition of the
courses on a regular basis under our "Adoptapark
Scheme"
and problems will be listed on the Club WebSite.
Repairs will be actioned as required.

Three Course Designs

  1. At Dawsholm and Linn Parks the former
    Nature Trails
    have been regenerated
    into the courses.
Where appropriate additional markers have been added.
The majority of control sites are solid white stone
posts with a distinctive red top.

  2. The historic nature of Glasgow Green and Kelvingrove Park allow these areas to
present an orienteering challenge without the
    need for additional posts.
Control sites ask questions based on information
    contained on statues and monuments.

  3. Within the remaining 11 parks, wooden posts have
been specially installed at agreed sites.
Each post carries a number, which corresponds to
the number given on the map, and a code letter is
shown on the back of the post.
Simply check the code number, if it agrees with
the number on your map, you are at the correct site.
Record code letter on your control card.
