Park in Airthrey Avenue & walk across Victoria Drive North to main gate/Registration/Start/Finish.


Controls 31 > 37 : 41 > 47 :  51 > 57 : & 60. Competitors have to visit either all the 30s / 40s / 50s in that order or 40s/50s/30s in that order or 50s/30s/40s in that order but in between each group of 7 you must visit Control 60. Start > 7 + 1 + 7 + 1 + 7 > Finish = 25 punches. Your sequence is drawn at the start i.e. you draw either “30s” - “40s” or “50s” from bag.Maximum time allowed 45 minutes. Direct distance approximately 5.5k.Climb minimal.

Start times:

Punching starts from 7.30pm > 7.45pm.

Entry Fees:

Seniors £3 - Students £2 - Juniors £1.50. If this is your 3rd event in the Series it is FREE!!

Permanent course has been repaired, map updated & available from 2017.

As part of The International Youth Year of 1985, STAG extended the Glasgow Primary Schools Festival to 4 venues, one of which was Victoria Park.

The venue was regularly used by St.Thomas Aquinas Secondary - where Terry taught PE until 2011 - & for STAG Night Events.

Permanent Course info

Consisting of 10 controls, the permanent course should be completed in about 30 minutes.

Park History:

Acquired from the Burgh of Partick in 1886 covering an area of 58 acres.
The Fossil Grove is located in the South West corner of the park and is open from 1 April to
30 September each year. The fossilised tree stumps are over 330 million years old.
Extensive rock garden and floral displays.
2 ponds which attract a variety of wildlife.
Bowls, putting, outdoor basketball & tennis facilities.
Play area & public toilets available.
