Short Course shall be technically straight forward and have 6 controls 31 > 36 in order.1.8k 25m climb.

Medium Course 2.6k 45m climb - standard Cross-Country format 9 controls in set order.

Long Course will consist of 5 Night Triangles - “The 2s” - “The 3s” - “The 4s” - The 5s” & “The 6s” eg “The 2s” = 32 > 42 > 52 makes a triangle as does “The 3s” 33 > 43 > 53. There is no “1” Triangle as Si Box 51 is on the blink but your last Control has to be 31.

Map of Glasgow - Pollok Country Park MapTerrain description

Glasgow’s largest park has undergone a transformation & the Orienteering Permanent Course is a welcome addition to the facilities available to the public.

The City Council’s rhododendron project to contain the spread of this vegetation ended in 2009 but did not result in every rhododendron bush being shredded.
