Course 1 - 8.0k ; 170m climb. Course 2 - 6.0k ; 130m climb. Course 3 - 5.1k ; 95m climb. Course 4 - 3.7k ; 65m climb. Course 5 - 3.1k ; 50m climb. Course 6 - 1.8k ; 25m climb.

For South of Scotland O League 3 - SPRINT MAP Scale 1:5000 2.5m contours - A3 Paper Size.  Organisers - Terry & Lizzy. Planner - Gerry T . Controller - Andrew MacPherson (CLYDE). Parking/Assembly @ Nether Pollok Playing Fields, Glasgow City Council Facility.

Brown - 8.0k ; 185m climb. Blue - 7.0k ; 135m climb. Green - 4.9k 115m climb. Short Green - 3.8k ; 105m climb. Light Green - 3.1k ; 100m climb. Orange - 2.6k ; 70m climb. Yellow - 2.2k ; 30m climb. White - 1.8k ; 25m climb.
Instead of a String Course there will be offered DIY “Nine Tree Wood” with a number of short navigational courses within a 30m x 30m Grid likely to use Orienteering Punches & not SI Timing.

Directions:

FOR SCOTTISH NIGHT CHAMPS - From M8 & M77 enter Pollok CP at the entrance adjacent to Haggs Castle Golf Club & follow the road round past Dumbreck Stables (on your right), Private Residences (on your left) then turn RIGHT after 600m to parking area at Lochinch Pavilion.

FOR SoSOL 3 - Turn RIGHT onto Dumbreck Road ; Hang RIGHT @ Lights onto Haggs Road. Ahead at next set of Lights then sharp RIGHT into Nether Pollok.

Glasgow’s largest park has undergone a transformation & the Orienteering Permanent Course is a welcome addition to the facilities available to the public.

The City Council’s rhododendron project to contain the spread of this vegetation ended in 2009 but did not result in every rhododendron bush being shredded.

The 1st Full Colour map produced & printed by STAG in 1985 & the latest versions produced in February 2018
