Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

First truly Dark Park of the season!
Advised to carry a handtorch as well as headtorch.

On Dalsholm Rd just beyond Dawsholm Recycling Centre.

Scale 1:5000 updated Nov 21 by Terry. Dawsholm Park is undergoing a lot of work with new paths - surfaced and unsurfaced with in places yellow metal barriers across to limit speed.
Registration and Start times
Course Information
Short - set course - 1.5km.
Medium and Long courses - 3km and 4.5km respectively - require the competitors to identify the controls to be visited based on their Control Description.
The 15 controls in use consist of 3 Boulders, 3 Knolls, 3 Marshes, 3 Seats and 3 Tree Roots.
As lines just clutter the map only Control Circles/Code Numbers have been printed on the map.
On the Long course, competitors need to visit the vertices which make up a common triangle before moving on to their 2nd, 3rd, 4th and finally 5th triangle then to Finish so 15 controls plus Start and Finish.
The Medium course has to visit the 3 Triangles specified but you may choose the order - marshes, seats and tree roots so 9 controls plus Start and Finish.
