Map / Terrain
Scale 1:7,500 5m contours. Updated May 2024 by TOBEM.
Drumpellier CP covers a low lying area bounded by the Glasgow > Edinburgh railway to the south and the A752 to the west and Townhead Rd to the north.
For reasons of map clarity, the Lochview Golf Course has not been screened as Out of Bounds but there are no reasons why any competitors should be anywhere near this area.
The area has an extensive network of tracks and paths. In places fences have a strand of barbed wire on the top rung and care should be taken when crossing. Off the tracks the ground can be soft and marshy. The maximum climb on the longest course is approximately 30m.
The recent hot weather is likely to result in a further surge in the vegetation and competitors shall not be allowed to start unless their person is fully protected to minimise the risk of ticks.
