Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Registration and Start times
Registration from 6:20pm. Informal starts from 6:30pm > 7pm. This will be extended if we are contacted before hand. Courses close 8pm.
Course Information
3 options available
1. Short approx 2km ; technically easy.
2. Medium approx 3km > 3.5km ; technically as hard as the venue allows. (Cut off of the Long Course)
3. Long approx 4km > 6km ; technically as hard as the venue allows.
Entry Details
Senior Members of all Orienteering Clubs, Shettleston Harriers and Westerlands - £5.
Family Max fees with 2 maps - £9.
STAG Junior Members or STAG Students no cost, subsidised from our club development fund.
Other Juniors and Students £3.
Map Details
Most areas are parkland with an extensive network of paths and other linear features.
Maps updated prior to each event by either Terry, Rudi, Fredrik or Arnis.
Miscellaneous
For these events, SI timing shall only be used to record your overall time. A control card shall be incorporated into the map. Large 'O' Flags with Code number and 'O' clipper shall be used at each site.
