Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Main Start Times 10am > 12 Noon.

The Start Time window for Courses 6 and 7 needs to be truncated to avoid the majority of the probable 400 > 500 runners in the Shettleston Harriers 10K taking place on the same day on Glasgow Green. Likely to be 11am > 11:30am with Start adjacent to Gorbals Sports Centre; finish on Glasgow Green adjacent to McLennan Arch.

Showers are available at Gorbals Sport Centre for the following fees : £3 Adult £1.50 Juniors.
Pay at Main reception on the day.

Due to ongoing repairs the Swimming Pool shall not be open on the day.

Dog restrictions

Well-behaved dogs on a lead but not allowed inside Gorbals Leisure Centre.

Miscellaneous

Please note that as part of the 2024 CRET regulations the event has to cover the cost for a number of Prize Winners from the 2023 CRET League in the form of 2 nights accommodation (double rooms)/breakfast for 2 and 6 additional entries.

Those entitles to free entry shall need to enter - so that your details are in the system - and refunds shall then be processed by arrangement.
