Explanation of Event levels

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Directions / Parking

No specified parking areas but parking is FREE on Saturdays in Haugh Road on the south side of the Kelvin Hall.

Partick and Finnieston Stations are approximately 1.5k and 1k from our base within Kelvingrove Park.

Kelvinbridge Underground Station is 1.2k from our base within the park.

Course Information

Sprint Race (UKOL)

From 2:30pm a further opportunity to run in a Sprint Race assigned to your Age Class or Open Category.

Individuals who run in the Sprint Relay are automatically seen as Non Competitive in the Individual Sprint Race.

Kelvingrove Park was used in 1999 for a Park World Tour Race.

Senior BOF Member £11

Senior Non Member £13 Junior/Student/Unemployed £7.

Orienteers running in the 2 person relay may also enter the individual sprint non-competively if they wish.

Dog restrictions

Well behaved dogs on a lead but not allowed inside Event Hub.

Miscellaneous

Small rucsacs or similar can be stored in secure lockers (£1) within the Kelvingrove Tennis Pavilion.
