Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Our weekly Spring season of orienteering events in Glasgow/Lanarkshire continues with a Postbox-O challenge around the Mount Florida / Kings Park area in south Glasgow.
A park-based challenge will also be available for beginners in nearby Kings Park but must also be pre-registered by Monday 10th May.
When entering please supply by email
1. Your name and mobile phone number (condition of Trace and Trace / Covid-19 stipulation).
2. Preferred start time (1800, 1815, 1830, 1845,1900 or 1915).
3. Preferred format (60 mins, 40 mins or 20 mins).
If doubling up (either a 40 or 60 mins run plus a 20 min sprint format. Please select an 1800 start for your longer run.
All formats use same map. 36 controls. 1> 30 worth 10 points. 201 - 205 worth 20points. 301 worth 30 points.
Punitive penalties for finishing take 5 pts off per part minute and 10pts off for every full minute over your time.

1. Off-map access through Cathkin Park (worth it anyway for the historic value!) between controls 102 and 12.
2. New housing estate with short-cut between controls 22 and 104.
No cost and open to non-members. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult
Final details will be available on Friday, with registration closing on Monday evening (pre-registration is necessary under Covid-rules).
60 minute, 40 minute and sprint (20 minute) versions will be available.
Starting time options from 6pm, 6.15pm, 6.30pm, 6.45pm and 7pm. No cost to participants.
