Explanation of Event levels

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Another great STAG event thanks to the input from not just myself but Fredrik, Marta, Andy, Iain, Peter, Sara, Rudi, Colin and Helen.

We again welcomed a group from Shettleston Harriers Junior Hill runners and well done on completing a challenging experience!

At the end of the day, Orienteering is a simple concept but the work behind the scenes from volunteers should never be under estimated.

I think this is the first time I have ever been able or wanted to run at a STAG Sunday event in over 40 years! This was only possible because of the support given by those named above. Did I enjoy it? Nearly but with my Garmin failing and having to be helped by Hanne to find '51' the Bill Melville ' Perfect Run' is still to come!

Marta and Fredrik are rightly applauded for their course(s) and their commitment to our Club - thank-you so much. The soup etc was a very welcome extra.

Apologies that our wee splits printer's motor died but the reserve printer managed to run off splits for a few just before 1pm.

Entries for Winter Score 3+ close this Tuesday 16th January 2024.
