Explanation of Event levels

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

On Saturday 1st October 2022 STAG celebrates 40 years of Orienteering.

Since our birth back in 1982, our membership has risen and fallen over the years but currently we have 80+ members. Over the years, STAG has grown into a Cosmapolitan Orienteering Club with members from Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Wales, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and China.

If you have had any connection with STAG be that through St.Andrew's Sec, St.Thomas Aquinas Sec, John Paul Academy or have attended any of our events including The Glasgow ZOOrienteering Festival please take this as an invitation to pop along.
