Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Directions / Parking
Parking on Blochairn Rd then use path and footbridge to crossover M8 to reach Alexandra Park Sports Hub 400m distance south. Start and Finish adjacent.
Public Transport Options
There are no direct transport options available between Springburn and Alexandra Parks.
By hire bike
There are OVO bike stations at Stobhill Hospital close to Springburn Park, and at Alexandra Park next to the Alexandra Parade entrance to the park.
Map / Terrain
Map has been resurveyed and redrawn to ISSprOM 2019-2 standard at a scale 1:4,000 2.5m contours in November 2023 by Terry. A4 paper size printed on water resistant paper.
The useable area now incorporates the former 9 hole golf course. As undergrowth can be severe in places full body cover is advised.

From 12 Noon.
Course Information
Event location 2 is Alexandra Park (G31).
Having crossed over the M8 by the footbridge, enter the park and then via the gate at the Bowling Greens head through for the Pavilion and cut through the building into the courtyard. Public toilets are now on your left and download the room on the right.
Please make sure you download here from 11:15am > 11:45am and then again after your Race 2 is completed. A key drop shall be available at download. Warming Up area is confined to within the Bowling Green area please. The Pre-Start is located at the NE corner of the Pavilion. There is no marked route as the Start Kite is clearly visible from map issue point. Competitors do NOT have to go to the Start Kite.
The FINISH is located south of the Start Kite. On finishing return to download via the north side of the carpark.
