Local level event
Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

There remains a great buzz when one sees people enjoying themselves orienteering.
Although the weather wasn't great with Marta taking charge of Registration and the coaching/introduction covered by Emily, Fredrik, Gerry & myself we coped admirably with the 20 > 30 participants.
We had a fine mix of Families and a couple of individuals.
Everyone expressed their enjoyment and a wish to do our wonderful activity again.
My thanks to Gerry (& Elspeth - she should really be a Member by now !), Marta, Fredrik, Emily, Richard, Caitlyn & Roslyn for giving up their time to promote our Club & Orienteering.
