Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Course Information

Each person runs two legs in the order ME > YOU > ME > YOU. Only one SI finger per team is used. Courses shall be around 2km , gaffled with the final part being common to all courses. Technically best described as 'tangerine' i.e. somewhere between 'Yellow' and 'Orange' standard.
This is a Team Sprint Relay with the expected leading time per leg for an M21E is around 10 minutes and for an W70 15/17 minutes but that is only half the story !
The 1st 3 Teams to finish having completed their courses correctly shall receive a small prize and as the format is 'chasing', the DU'O' Trophy shall be awarded to the winning team.
In essence for every point you would receive under the SOA Relay Handicapping scheme your time allowance is equivalent to a 20 seconds x 2 (runs) for those M/W 55 and below ; 30 seconds x 2 (runs) for those M/W60+. Novices receive an additional 2 minutes allowance.
There shall be a MUSTER MEETING for all Team Members @ 10:45am at The Bothy to confirm very final details and procedures before moving to The Education Zone where the Start/Finish are located approx 300m away.

Changes to add - switch Dave & Kirsten; add 40 seconds to Joey & Marta's allowance. Tricia & Charlie have had to cancel. Stephen instead of Diane. Due to issues with my laptop I have been unable to make all of the above changes to create a v2 of the document below..
