Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Compared to what the weather was like back in 2019 this was absolutely fantastic and a tad 'warm' when in the sun.
ELTs all within range. This was always going to be a burn up challenging your speed endurance. 17 controls were used.
Having made a final check on Fri 3rd I was both baffled and annoyed to find out this morning that the small gate on the NW corner of the Winter Gardens had between 11am Friday and 10am Sunday been chained closed. This makes little sense as there is a bolt to secure and due to Covid-19 The Peoples Palace remains closed.

Course Information
5pm Thursday 2nd December - Control Descriptions now available to download for carrying (6mm size). Already printed on your map (7mm size).
Nearest toilets at Morrisons Supermarket on Gallowgate.
Competitors who have hired Si or SIAC fingers should uplift these no later than 10am from the Car located in front of 'The Drying Green'.
All competitors are asked to 'Pre-Dib' so that we 1. Know you have arrived and 2. You are using the correct Si finger.
Competitors on Courses 6 and 7 should uplift an envelope with all their maps for each Race from the car located in front of 'The Drying Green' between 9:45am > 10am.
Warm up in area immediately west of 'The Drying Green' and around Doulton Fountain but do not enter either eastern gardens of Peoples Palace nor go beyond Doulton Fountain.
Start is within eastern gardens of Peoples Palace. Social distancing shall be in operation.
Finish adjacent to Freewheel North / Play area in front of Doges Palace.
