Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

STAG wish to thank John and Krystian for their help and encouragement to use their wonderful facility - a model for other parts of the country to copy?
Just a pity that orienteers had no time for a wee game of putting, or tennis or badminton or even scoring a goal!
Once the permanent course is re-checked STAG intend to gift maps to the Hub for use on foot or on bike.
For most this was their first visit to Alexandra Park as it was last used in GPC 2006 when the 9 hole golf course was operating. This closed in 2020.
With the creation of The Alexandra Park Sport Hub by the Milnbank Housing Association, a tremendous local resource has been created less than 1km from my home.
Parking on Blochairn Rd worked well and thus the route to DCP was clear.
Course 1 could have been a wee bit longer but other ELTs look fine.

Pre Event Info
Park last used for GPC in 2006. With the closure of the Golf Course in 2020 the useable area has increased in size.
Directions / Parking
Parking on Blochairn Rd then walk over M8 on footbridge to enter park.

5pm Thursday 2nd December - Control Descriptions now available to download for carrying (6mm size). Already printed on your map (7mm size).
Toilets available within Alexandra Sports Hub building accessed via Bowling Greens. Please remember your face covering.
Starts from 12 Noon > 12:29pm adjacent to entering park.
Warm up in parkland to the north of Start or within Bowling Greens.
