Local level event

Explanation of Event levels

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Report

Thank-you for supporting this venture which was the best attended of our 3 Score+ Events this month.

Please note comments below :

1. If you visited Control 32 - The Singing Control - now locked away in the garage ; you should add 300 points to your stated score. To add this into the results is not simple as I would then need to fabricate a time for each person when you visited it so it ain't happening for over 50 individuals.

2. '32' has been removed from Light Green and Orange so that a result is processed.

3. The Score Twist results shown are ficticious as Si Entries cannot cope so I am manually double checking and shall add to STAG Website later this evening. The challenge was to visit 6 pairs of controls before Control 53 then the remaining 6 pairs. A pair meant that the Code Numbers added up to 106. Points are only awarded where you have completed this and Control 53 needs to be either your 13th Control or have 6 pairs before visiting.

Score Twist Results

  1. Thomas 9,500 pts under time.
  2. Fredrik 8,500 pts under time.
  3. Rudi 8,000 pts under time.
  4. Ben 7,830 pts over time so deducted 1,170pts.
  5. Colin 5,000 pts.
  6. Arnis 4,000 pts.

As I have said many times without the support from STAG Members (+ friends) I just wouldn't be doing this as regularly at my tender age so thanks to :

John - Map issue

Alan - Start.

Download - Mark, David N and Velina.

Control collectors - Klaas, Phil S, Andy, Iain, Arnis, Velina, Fredrik, Rudi and Chris.

All packed up by 2pm leaving a number of STAG Wild (MAD?) Water Swimmers - all female - to test out Loch Faskally. Back in a wet Glasgow by 3:30pm and awaiting STORM CORRIE to blow in this evening.

The weather window was a huge bonus.

Take care

Terry
