Local level event
Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Report
On such a glorious evening we welcomed back Andrew Reynolds (BAOC) making his return to the sport and welcomed Isobel Jones (DEE) who is studying at The University of Glasgow plus students from Calderhead HS many who have recently joined STAG - what a great turnout in, for most, a brand new area.
Without double Spring is the time of year for Carbarns just before the brambles become rather annoying. It is amazingly tranquil and pleasant and the area where Controls 36, 37 and 38 were located is just a joy to run in - the rest isn't too bad either!.
My thanks to John, Gerry, Fredrik, Thomas, Rudi and Ceana for registration/download and helping clear the area.
Much as we like to accommodate everyone, even at this time of year daylight fades quickly and I finally left the area at 9pm so please try and come along as early as you can.
We have said this before but shall say it again. This is 'Training' and it is even more important that YOU read the information that is printed on the map before YOU start. This is a reference to the barbed wire fences in particular.
Another reminder that Club abbreviations are in capital letters - lets see how many get it correct next time - 100% is the objective.
Spring 3 might be doubly busy as it is a joint project with our friends from FVO so I shall be 'head hunting' for more assistance.
And finally our splits printer returned to life... quite fitting just after Easter.
