Report
A very pleasant evening in a cracking 'new' area. Last Thursday I checked sites and was blown away not just by the area but by the map created by Fredrik which was so easy to read.
Fredrik may add his own comments but my thanks to F & M plus Alan, John N and John R. who helped us bring in controls. Fredrik says: thanks all for coming. There was speculation beforehand that the climb of the courses was too high, but as the name suggests, it is a hilly area! I'm also glad that the rhododendron maze on Courtshaw Hill was appreciated and found to be appropriately challenging. According to legend, there used to be 50 passages through the bushes up there.
STAG would really benefit if members were able to commit to helping bring in controls - at least once in a Spring Series- before hand. We need to broaden our base to support the main officials at each event. We shall also introduce a course closure time of 8pm from now on.
